Hermann Nitsch. Bayreuth Walküre

Catalogue for the exhibition "HERMANN NITSCH – Bayreuth Walküre"

Hermann Nitsch was invited by the Bayreuth Festival to create the scenic accompaniment for a concert version of Richard Wagner’s "Die Walküre" in the summer of 2021. Nitsch conceived an extensive painting action for each of the three acts.

A large portion of the works created during the three performances on the Green Hill in Bayreuth were shown for the first time in 2022 at the exhibition "Hermann Nitsch – BAYREUTH WALKÜRE" at the nitsch museum Mistelbach.
